Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
Robot/Controls assist the production team by optimizing and maintaining the robotic and controls automations needed to effectively run production.
Assist in the integration, start-up and debug of plant floor material handling, automation equipment, including touch controls, stapling/gluing robots, material handling robots and pick and place units.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment consisting of robotic components, and programmable logic controller.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
Strong electrical troubleshooting background.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Use internal systems to obtain part numbers and launch orders to obtain parts in a timely manner.
Trains other employees of maintenance department.
Primary Objectives Ensures that facility systems are operating efficiently implementing systematic preventative maintenance checks.
Completing all tasks as delegated by the supervising authority.
Effectively managing time, prioritize work to meet all specified deadlines.
Effectively maintain uptime for Production Environment.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements Physical ability to bend, stoop, stand and repetitively lift 50 or more lbs.
continuously throughout assigned work shift.
Minimum 4 years of experience in the maintenance field or graduate of vocational school with machinist/engineering/electrical training or certification accepted, including hands-on experience with robotics within a manufacturing setting.
Experience with roller and belt conveyor systems preferred.
Must be able to adhere to safety and preventative maintenance standards.
Independent, self-starter with the ability to multi-task.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Experienced with PLC programming and troubleshooting, digital and analog I/O points.
Experienced with AD/DC drive motor operation, adjustment, and troubleshooting.
High school diploma required, degree in technical field preferred.
Ability to use a personal computer is a must.
