ESSENTIAL JOB
Responsibilities:


Safety:


  • Accountable for the Safety Performance of the Maintenance activities, performed both by internal resources or contractors.
  • Accountable for maintaining the Safe Operation of the equipment.
  • Responsible for implementing Safety Improvement actions following agreed and prioritized projects (based on e.g. employee reports, continual improvement notifications, audits findings)


Preferred Skills/Qualifications
:


  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in an operations role in Manufacturing; preferred experience in the metals industry
  • Team player with good organizational skills
  • Ability to learn Processes and Systems
  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines.
  • Proven success in driving operational improvements and uptime on equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to execute and deliver within required guidelines.
  • Strong influencing leadership skills
  • Ability to work with local and corporate support units to drive plant improvements.
  • Ability and desire to work with Production Supervisors to eliminate bottle necks and enhance production output.
  • PLC and robotic automation experience.


Leadership/People:


  • Accountable for the competence development of the Maintenance team, as well as developing a succession plan.
  • Accountable for driving a plan to develop engagement drivers for the maintenance team.
  • Responsible for planning and following the Maintenance budget. To include growth and sustaining CAPEX.
  • Operational Excellence:


  • Accountable for the equipment availability and the reliability improvement plan (Focuses on Failure Mitigation of Reliability Issues)
  • Accountable for the Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and maintenance activities KPI (Quality, Timing, Back Log)
  • Responsible for planning and following the Maintenance OPEX budget.

Sustain & Improve:


  • Responsible for assessment and technology selection for all new equipment and growth projects. In collaboration with supporting groups.
  • Accountable for planning and implementing the CAPEX plan.
  • Responsible for maturing, developing, and executing growth/improvement projects.

Scope:


  • Maintenance of all assets and equipment in the various operational areas.
  • Maintenance and operation of the plant utilities and common infrastructures (electrical distribution, gas, water, compressed air, building but also automation Industrial Control Systems and IT systems)
  • In charge of the spare parts warehouse management
  • Contractor management

Required Education/Experience:


  • Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline; or 5 years hands-on experience with progressive organization; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Track record of leading a department toward improved equipment reliability.
  • Good communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Preferred Education and
Experience:


  • 3 years experience with Preventative Maintenance Systems preferred.
  • Experience in the metals industry.
  • Mechanical and Hydraulic press experience.
  • Equipment condition monitoring experience.
