The Clinic Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic while upholding our commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.

AWC provides quality, compassionate abortion care services to people throughout North Carolina and bordering states.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks Understand contracts, procedures, and protocols as they pertain to health care and how those documents impact the sustainability of the clinic.
Create and oversee goals related to company spending and patient volume.
A deep understanding of each staff member's job and how each position connects with the positive experience of our patients and with the success of the facility.
Navigate state departments and other credentialing bodies that will have some oversight of the facility and clinicians.
In conjunction with the President/CEO and Vice Presidents, evaluate and decide on vendors for office needs, the development of local vendor bids, contracts, and supervision of vendor work once approved and contracted.
Oversee the ordering and accuracy of inventory for medical and administrative supplies for the clinic and have professionalism with vendors, suppliers, and contractors who provide goods and services to the medical facility, using AWC Inventory Order Forms.
Correctly reports to governing bodies and to the Leadership Team, the work of the clinic and care for patients, support persons, and staff; the ability to analyze these report findings to recommend adjustments or changes to improve patient and staff care goals.
Daily assurance of AWC and NAF standards for facility cleanliness, maintenance, and upkeep.
This includes scheduling daily and deep cleaning schedules.
Attend and actively participate in biweekly manager calls.
Email daily, weekly, and monthly reports to CEO, Accountant, Vice Presidents, and Consultant.
Communicate values and goals to all employees.
Front Office Operations:
Monitor and promote AWC's vision and core values.
Ensure patients receive quality care and attention.
Monitor clinic flow to adjust for patient & staff scheduling and quality care.
Assist CEO/President, Vice President, and Regional Clinic Director with financial oversight of the clinic.
Manage expenses and staffing to ensure successful operations and financial stability, accountable for submission of financial deposits and logs.
Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner by appropriate staff.
Monitor and ensure compliance with AWC and NAF medical protocols and administrative procedures, HIPPA, CLIA, OSHA, and state pharmacy regulations.
Submit audit data when assigned; ensure clinic meets agency and AWC quality assurance requirements.
Monitor monthly financial statements and patient visits; submit required reports as directed.
Accountable for submission of financial deposits and logs.
Human Relations:
Promote continuous communication between administrative and medical staff.
Create and maintain a dynamic team.
Assist with staffing effectively by working with Regional Clinic Director and Vice Presidents in hiring, coaching, and training staff to provide all clinic services per their job descriptions, monitoring and evaluating staff in their daily performance.
Facilitate monthly staff meetings and specialized training.
Must send meeting agendas to Vice President 3 days before the meeting for feedback.
Ensure staff are trained and cross-trained to provide flow facilitation.
Continuously monitor and adjust staff schedules to ensure efficient delivery of service and adequate break/lunchtimes.
This includes the authority to make changes in staffing patterns and/or duties to assure optimum flow and patient satisfaction.
Meet with physicians, nurses, and other health care staff to determine their concerns and needs on an ongoing basis.
Requirements:
Unequivocal and enthusiastic support of quality abortion care and rights and for all people to have access to the health care they need with respect, dignity, and compassion.
Must be available to work Saturdays.
Minimum of two years' experience in health care management.
Preferred experience working in abortion care or the reproductive health field.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational skills to assist with the daily flow of patients.
Enjoy working as part of a team.
Trained for a fast-paced medical care office.
Demonstrated ability to be flexible.
Detail-oriented and able to perform repetitive tasks without error.
Attention to detail and deadlines is an absolute must.
Ability to prioritize and perform tasks under pressure.
