3K a year Duties - Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Westlaw to support case preparation.
- Manage and organize legal files, documents, and correspondence.
- Maintain calendars and schedules for attorneys, including court dates and deadlines.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional manner.
- Prepare and draft correspondence, memos, and other legal documents.
- Transcribe dictations and prepare accurate written transcripts.
- Assist with document management systems, including scanning, filing, and indexing.
Requirements - Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Westlaw.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and proofreading.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Familiarity with administrative tasks in a law office setting.
